Sybil 03/06/2010
Sybil was born in September 1992 and "adopted" with her brother Basil later that year. A few years later Basil left this earth well before his time, and 'Syb' was on her own ... until the next cat came along! She patiently put up with the younger Friskie, and allowed her to play with her. That was until the day that Friskie took a long walk and didn't come home. So 'Syb' was on her own again, for many years this time. Until one day Mum brought home a wee Angel from Animal Welfare. She tolerated the attempted play and the tail swipes as best as she could for an elderly cat, but then, all too soon it seemed, it was time to say goodbye. Sybil was always loving, extremely gentle.. and hungry! She was a Mummy's girl who loved cuddles, and often shared her content purrs with me. In latter years she became rather vocal, allowing us to converse despite her being hard of hearing. She wasn't that keen on strangers, much preferring to hide under or behind something until they had gone. Saving all of her love for me! Sybil was my constant. She was always there, ready to be with me when I needed her. We were a close knit team, and she saw me through a few different periods of heartbreak in my life, including the loss of my Mum. Not quite ready to let you go (would I ever be?) - but knowing that it was your time... So not wanting you to suffer, I wish only sunny warm spots for you to sleep forever more. Rest in Peace (3 June 2010), my special baby girl... you will never leave my heart. Donna Add Comment |
